Snowden Stable Gearing Up For New Season

Three months ago Peter Snowden walked away from one of the most coveted jobs in Australian racing.
After six years as head trainer for Darley, Snowden went into business with his son Paul, forming a public training partnership.
He did it with an open mind and few preconceived ideas on where it might take him.
Since May, the pair has prepared nine city winners including a juvenile double at Randwick last Saturday with Inkling and Blademeister, two of the 66 horses on their books.
"I didn't know what to expect actually but it's been very good," Snowden said.
"The success has been very good, the support has been excellent."
This week heralds a new beginning for the Snowdens.
The father and son duo will enter their first full season as a partnership with the start of the new racing season on August 1.
And they are keen to keep their winning momentum going.
"It's a matter of us trying to keep that ball rolling and make the most of what we can while we have the horses to work with," Snowden said.
They have two runners at the opening metropolitan meeting of the 2014-2015 season, both imports with staying formlines.
Sabor A Triunfo, a Group One winner in Chile, is favourite for Saturday's De Bortoli Wines Handicap (2000m) after his come-from-behind Rosehill victory at just his second Australian start earlier this month.
Stablemate Disclaimer is the outsider of the eight-horse Winter Challenge field after two unplaced autumn runs for John O'Shea but he showed promise in England with a Listed win.
He also finished fifth at his final European appearance at Newbury - Our Voodoo Prince, the Chris Waller-trained Easter Cup winner who is a $21 chance for the Melbourne Cup, was third in the same race.
