Bring Something Wins Bendigo Cup

Promising stayer Bring Something has kicked off a potentially big week for trainer Ken Keys with victory in the $250,000 Bendigo Cup.
The four-year-old scored a determined win in Wednesday's 2400m provincial feature, only days before Keys hopes to play a starring role on Victoria Derby Day at Flemington.
Boom three-year-old colt Rich Enuff is favourite to give Keys his first Group One as a trainer in Saturday's Coolmore Stud Stakes, while stayer Like A Carousel will chase a dream Melbourne Cup start when he runs in the Lexus Stakes.
"It's crazy. We've got 18 in work at the moment and we're playing at the top end of the level," Keys told TVN.
Bring Something ($8) worked his way into the race out wide rounding the home turn and had a fight on his hands in the straight to defeat Massiyn ($4.40) by a half head with favourite Order Of The Sun ($2.25) holding on to third, another 1-3/4 lengths away.
Keys has a long-range plan to give Bring Something his chance at feature staying races next year.
"I think with credibility we can now go to the Queen Elizabeth Stakes and then we'll put him away," Keys said.
"I think we've got an exciting horse to look forward to next year."
Like A Carousel, a last-start third in the Geelong Cup, can earn a Melbourne Cup start if he wins the Lexus Stakes.
Rich Enuff, meanwhile, gets another chance to try to provide Cranbourne-based Keys with his biggest win after his last-start second as favourite in the Caulfield Guineas (1600m) when he raced keenly in front.
Rich Enuff takes on a star-studded field of three-year-olds in the 1200m straight track sprint having already won the Mitchell McKenzie Stakes, Danehill Stakes and Caulfield Guineas Prelude this spring.
