Shooting To Win Pleases In Gallop

Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting To Win has taken another step in his autumn preparation with a solo workout between races at Randwick.

The colt will be looking to add the Randwick Guineas to his spring Group One and pleased jockey James McDonald and co-trainer Paul Snowden on Saturday.

"He will have another barrier trial on Friday and another ten days after that," Snowden said.

"The plan is to run in the Hobartville Stakes first-up and then two weeks into the Randwick Guineas."

Shooting To Win was one of four Group One winners to gallop at Randwick.

Golden Rose winner Hallowed Crown worked with stablemate The Peak while Spring Champion Stakes winner Hampton Court was edged out in his hit-out by Gai Waterhouse-trained stablemate Diamond Drille.

Hampton Court is being aimed at the Australian Derby while Diamond Drille will be out to defend her Queen of the Turf title during The Championships at Randwick in April.
