CALAWAY GAL - Never been a fan - never will. What gear change is on the agenda now? No good in blinkers, no good in a shadow roll. Are you sure this horse won the Slipper? The real Gal must still be spelling.
BOLLINGER - Not up to these just yet obviously.

MARTIAL RULE - Costly. Very costly.
WILLIAM - Didn't fit the "bill."

WOODWINA - Should have beaten this field. Mixes form like mum does the biscuit mixture.

NATURAL BLITZ - Raced terribly. At the crossroads now.

EVERY UNPLACED RUNNER - Back to the bush.

PENTATHLON - Couldn't go a yard early. His backers were feeling ill a long way out.
GALLOPINI - We've seen the best of him about three years ago. Retirement beckoning.

ZABUAN - Needs jumps.
BOLD IMPULSE - Ditto.

STEEL KING - Becoming one of the punter's nightmare horses. Always carries plenty - runs well but not just good enough. Has talent - maybe better after a break.

FAIRY FLASH - Not as good as we thought.
HERE FOR GLORY - No glory in sight in town.

Caulfield - Sunday

Race 1
GRADUAL - I'm not tipping this again until after a spell. Raced like a tired horse. Disappointing.

Race 2
TRIBULA - Back to Perth - you are much better suited there.
REACTIVE - Was it second up fever? I'm prepared to risk again next start.

Race 3
BRIEF EMBRACE - Needs to go back to 1200 metres - not a chance in the Thousand Guineas.

Race 4
GENERAL MINOLTA - Better suited in Queensland at this time of the year.
ABLE CHOICE - Boom Hong Kong performer who hasn't lived up to it since being in Melbourne. Untried at 1600 metres and I'm prepared to risk him.

Race 5
PRINCE RUBITON - Very disappointing. Obviously not up to the best at this time of the year. Could be an autumn performer.
TIT FOR TAAT - How did this thing get close to Sunline? If that form carries through to the George Main then I'm willing to risk the champion mare. Across the Tasman you go.
CHONG TONG - Risk at any track except Flemington.

ROSE ARCHWAY - If she was mine she would be in foal. Hasn't come back anywhere near her best - pity it's going to depreciate a great record.
PIPER STAR - How did you get so close to Northerly and Co last autumn. Down a peg you come.

STORM ATTACK - Handy performer but not up to stakes class just yet. Maybe next preparation.
CONSTRUCTOR - Normally harder to catch than a greasy pig.
