Hi World Wins Third Straight Sydney Race

A win over 2000m in the Frank Packer Plate has opened up spring options for Hi World.
Trainer Peter Moody says the High Chaparral colt will now go to Queensland, not to race over the winter carnival, but to spend time in the paddock with the sun on his back.
Kerrin McEvoy sent the $2.30 favourite to the front in Saturday's Group Three race at Randwick, which was not necessarily the plan.
Hi World kept going strongly to the line to beat Wine Tales ($4.80) by 1-1/2 lengths with Merion ($4) another head away.
"Peter said to me to just take my time and not rush getting to the lead," McEvoy said.
"We were a little bit deep through that first crossing but we let them sort themselves out then went forward."
Moody was happy with the tactics, saying it was out of his hands.
"I drive a Corolla and he (McEvoy) drives a Mercedes. He makes the decisions," Moody said.
"He is an exciting proposition and he got the job done nicely again.
"I think he can develop into a serious spring contender whether it be in the handicaps or even weight-for-age.
"He will go to Brisbane for a holiday with several others from the stable."
Hi World began his career out of Moody's Melbourne stable and hit his straps in Sydney during the autumn with three wins from three starts, all on rain-affected tracks.
