Snowdens After Two-mile Win At Flemington

Peter Snowden is optimistic about his chances of a rare win over the Melbourne Cup distance with Sabor A Triunfo in the Andrew Ramsden Stakes.
Peter Snowden and his son Paul have the imported mare lining up as one of the leading chances in the $200,000 Listed race over 3200m at Flemington on Saturday.
Snowden has only saddled up two runners in 3200m races.
Adroitly won the Stayers' Cup in Sydney in 2012 while Tupac Amaru finished unplaced in last year's Sydney Cup as a three-year-old.
"I haven't had a lot of these sort of horses but I've enjoyed working with the ones I have had," Snowden said.
"They are all different, and this horse doesn't take a lot of work.
"Once you start to work her hard she gets very dour and trains off quickly but I find with the races she has had, if I just do a bit of work in between it keeps a bit of freshness in her legs and it seems to work well with her.
"She looks in great order. I think she's in with a good chance."
Snowden will be in Brisbane on Saturday where the stable's runners include Charlie Boy in the Group One Doomben 10,000.
But he will also be watching the Andrew Ramsden Stakes with anticipation as he believes it looks an ideal race for Sabor A Triunfo which finished fourth over 2800m last start.
"Her whole program has been aimed at this race," Snowden said.
"She's been thereabouts and seems to have been running on every start she has had from 2000 metres to 2600 to 2800.
"So hopefully 3200 metres is her right trip."
Shoreham holds favouritism at $7 ahead of Sabor A Triunfo and last-start winner Sonntag ($7.50) with Crafty Cruiser at $8.
The Snowdens have exceeded their expectations in their first year as a partnership winning five Group Ones.
