Forster Takes Blinkered View In BRC Sires'

Trainer Desleigh Forster will use blinkers on Cylinder Beach to give the colt the best chance of causing a BRC Sires' Produce Stakes upset.

Cylinder Beach has had two starts for a fast-finishing third at Doomben and a fifth in the Listed Dalrello Stakes in Toowoomba when he produced another late charge.

In both races Cylinder Beach was tardy at the start settled a long way off the leaders and Forster hopes blinkers will have him closer to the action.

"He has had a jump-out in (blinkers) and went very well," Forster said.

"The 1350 metres might still be a bit short for him but he will give them something to think about late in the race."

Cylinder Beach is heading towards the JJ Atkins but Forster is already looking towards next season.

Michael Cahill rode Cylinder Beach at his first start and had first offer on the horse but will stick with the Richard Laming-trained favourite Payroll at Doomben on Saturday.

International jockey Robbie Fradd will ride Cylinder Beach and Forster believes he will suit the horse.
