Super Win To Super One In Singapore

Singapore's star two-year-old Super One has cruised to victory in the Juvenile Championship to set up a trip to Australia for the Coolmore Stud Stakes.

Trainer Michael Freedman said he would be keen to bring Super One to the Group One sprint for three-year-olds at Flemington on the opening day of the Melbourne Cup carnival.

"If he comes through the race fine I'll look at the program bearing in mind the quarantine," Freedman said.

"It would be exciting for the owners.

"He would need to leave Singapore by the 26th of September so my gut feeling is that he would not have another run before then.

"The idea would be to get him there and have one run or a barrier trial down the straight at Flemington."

Craig Newitt rode Super One to his early wins but has since returned to Melbourne with Corey Brown picking up the ride on Sunday.

Freedman trained dual Singapore champion Super Easy and said it was too early to compare the two horses.

"I'll always have Super Easy up there but I don't know if I've had a horse as fast as this one," he said.
