Quiet As Makes Loud Debut

Part owned by flamboyant breeder and businessman John Singelton, Quiet As was having her first start for record breaking trainer John Hawkes.
With Sydney's current premiership leading jockey Darren Beadman in the saddle, the three-year-old cruised home to thrash her rivals by five and a quarter lengths.
Out of the former talented racemare Broann, Quiet As was the first leg of a winning double for Beadman.
Later in the afternoon he guided the Hawkes trained Coablo to victory in the feature event of the afternoon, the Mona Lissa Plate.
The Nick Moraitis owned grey mare was too strong for the Group One performer Gentle Genuis, while Kurrajong Miss was third.
While Beadman and Hawkes teamed up for a double, honours at the meeting were shared.
Chris Munce and Gai Waterhouse teamed up to win the first two events with Splish and Penetrator.
