Sunline Arrives in Sydney

r6sunline3.jpg (8560 bytes)Champion mare Sunline has settled in to familiar surroundings at Randwick after flying across the Tasman late yesterday.

"She took the flight in her stride and seems as good as gold," said co-trainer Stephen McKee from Sydney this morning.

As part of her build-up to Saturday week's George Main Stakes, Sunline will run in a 1200 metre trial at Randwick on Friday.

"The trial will be held on the inside track and should clean her up nicely for the George Main," said McKee, who added that light rain falling in Sydney today should aid the main Randwick track, which appears quite dry.

Regular rider Greg Childs will be on hand to ride the mare in her trial. The George Main is Sunline's chance to equal the record of 14 Group wins held by Kingston Town.
