Bosson Back in The Saddle

Class jockey Opie Bosson returns to the raceday action when he takes the ride on Watch Officer in the Franklin Bathroom Stakes, feature event at Pukekohe on Saturday.

Bosson's recent career has been a stop-start affair due to injury. A badly broken collarbone counted him out of most of the summer of 2001 and six months ago he was sidelined again by a broken wrist.

He has been riding trackwork for the past month and reappeared at the Te Teko trials last week.

Watch Officer fits into Bosson's current weight range with 58.5kg on Saturday.

He is the horse on whom the then apprentice received a lengthy suspension when he sat up near the finish and was beaten in a race at Tauranga.
