Mr S Clarke, trainer of BOZEMAN and FULL GALLOP was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for those two horses by the prescribed time.

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected BOZEMAN which had suffered an injury to its tendon and passed the gelding fit to run.

Ms R Thompson, trainer of RODIN was fined $50 for failing to declare a rider for that gelding by the prescribed time.

Ms R Thompson, trainer of RODIN was fined $20 for using club colours.

Stewards questioned Ms R Thompson, trainer of RODIN about that geldings improved performance today. Ms Thompson stated that although she was not training RODIN at its most recent starts she believed that as the gelding drew the outside gate today that helped in it getting away with the field and the fact that it jumped away well was the reason for its improved performance. D Bates, rider and former trainer of RODIN stated that at its previous starts it missed the start by several lengths and then got back some distance which made it almost impossible to win whereas today it jumped well and raced accordingly.

RACE EIGHT CLASS 2 HCP – 15OO M

The start of the race was delayed as RUSTY DON had dislodged a hind plate en-route to the barriers. To avoid an unnecessary delay the other hind plate on RUSTY DON was taken off.

On jumping away POLISKY jumped inwards onto BRIGHT VISION.

C Moon, rider of RUSTY DON was reprimanded for excessive use of the whip on that gelding (AR137A(1)).

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected RUSTY DON subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding was lame in the off fore leg.
