RACE ONE 3YO CLASS D HCP – 12OO M

Both BAZ and GOLDEN DAME bounded at the start. QUEEN OF THE NORTH hung out during the race. On the home turn ICHIKAWA was disappointed for a run behind QUEEN OF THE NORTH on the fence with ENVIRONS on its outside.

RACE TWO CLASS 1 HCP (Div 1) – 11OO M

B Davis (a), rider of GREAT EAGLE was found guilty of a charge of careless riding ARR137 (a). The careless riding being that approximately 70 metres after the start he permitted GREAT EAGLE to shift in when not sufficiently clear of LARRY BOY (S Brown). As a result LARRY BOY was taken in onto TOUCH OF SCOTCH (P Denton) which then had to be eased off LARRY BOY’s heels. B Davis (a) was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire at midnight on Saturday 18th January, 2002 (2 meetings).

When the gates opened HIT AND HOPE bounded in the air.

Ms M Boothby, trainer of MR FROWN was fined $20 for using club colours.

When the gates opened RADIANT BLAST was slow into stride.

MR ENDURANCE hung out during the race.

RACE FIVE OPEN HCP – 13OO M

At the start DURCILLA and GALLIC CHIEF jumped awkwardly and bumped.

Near the 800 metres GILDED STAR lost a shoe.

All winners were swabbed today.
