NT 1: 3YO CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1100 METRES 5 STARTERS
PRISMATIC REEF (S Burrows) jumped outward coming into contact with MURPHY'S PRIZE (T Norton). COSTA KEYS (B Cornell) was slow to begin. COSTA KEYS proved difficult to load into the barriers. Stewards informed MR G CONNOR, representative for trainer Mr N CONNOR that a warning will be placed against the gelding.
1ST MURPHY'S PRIZE 2ND CROWN PACIFIC 3RD PRISMATIC REEF
NT 2 OPEN HANDICAP 1400 METRES 6 STARTERS
HEAVEN DANCER (T Huish) reared as start effected resulting in the gelding being slow away. STAR DAMSEL (P Johnson) was disappointed for a clear run at about the 400 metre mark.
1ST MYSTROM 2ND MAGIC WEASEL 3RD STAR DAMSEL
NT 3: CLASS D HANDICAP 1400 METRES 9 STARTERS
CENTRE DANCER was a late scratching by order of the Stewards after being cast in the starting stall and then escaping from attendants. GO BRAGH was examined by the veterinarian prior to the start and was passed fit to run. LOCKMASTER (M Cornell) and POWER TO THE MAX (T Gillett) came together just after the start. LOCKMASTER (M Cornell) shifted in badly in the final stages of the race. Subsequent to the race Stewards ordered all monies invested on CENTRE DANCER to be refunded and a deduction of 31c for the win and 21c for the place on successful wagers prior to the withdrawal of CENTRE DANCER. CENTRE DANCER will be required to pass a satisfactory barrier test before starting again.
1ST KOHATON 2ND KELTIC KID 3RD LOCKMASTER
NT 5: CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1000 METRES 8 STARTERS
SKYE KAYJOY (M Cornell) was slow to begin. Approaching the 400 metre mark jockey B HUPPATZ the rider of HE'S TOUGH ENOUGH accidentally dropped his whip. Trainer of SKYE KAYJOY Mr N CONNOR was informed by Stewards that SKYE KAYJOY was now barred from racing until proving to be competitive in an official barrier trial. A veterinary examination of SKYE KAYJOY subsequent to the race revealed no abnormalities.
1ST HE'S TOUGH ENOUGH 2ND PUNK 3RD COVET'S GEM
NT 7: CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 9 STARTERS
SCAMADRO (P Johnson) shifted outwards shortly after the start.
FROZE (T Norton) raced very wide throughout the race. It was observed on return to scale that JUROMA was lame in his offside foreleg.
