At the start both BLETCHINGLY’S BEST and BEANIE jumped awkwardly and AUTRICITY was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start S Ridler, rider of EYE EYE SIR dropped his whip.

Mr B Merrall, trainer of GOING STAG was fined $50 for failing to lodge a stable return for that gelding in accordance with NT56.

At the start SAVNECT and NOT THIS TIME (NZ) came together briefly.

RACE THREE SPEC COND – 15OO M

Stewards questioned B Davis (a), rider of GUNNEL, which performed below expectations.  B Davis (a) stated that GUNNEL had overraced during the race.

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected GUNNEL subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding had pulled up in an overheated and distressed state.

RACE FOUR        CLASS 2 HCP – 15OO M

Mr B Merrall, trainer of MURPHY’S PRIZE was fined $50 for nominating that gelding for this event when ineligible (AR64 (1)).

At the start MY ADVICE and GOLD HAWK came together for several strides and PECKJATA was slow into stride.

RACE FIVE        CLASS 4 HCP – 11OO M

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected HADRIAN subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding had indications of muscle soreness.

Pre-race swab samples were taken from CALMER KARMA and RHYTHMIC STEP.  All winners were swabbed today
