WORSHIPS A DRINK (P Johnson) was slow to begin.

NT 2 CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 5 STARTERS
BOGHASI (S Burrows) jumped outwards as start effected forcing SIR ROMEO (B Huppatz) onto NAPPA (T Norton). POWER TO THE MAX (T Gillett) and JAYASHARI (P Johnson) were both slow into stride.

NT 3: CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1100 METRES 7 STARTERS
LA MEXA (B Huppatz) raced erratically in the first 100 metres of the race. Stewards asked trainer N MOODY could he offer any explanation for IMPERT racing below expectations. Mr MOODY stated he expected IMPERT to be racing on the pace in the early stages of the race and was surprised to see the gelding so far back. Rider of IMPERT T NORTON stated he had ridden the horse with the whip in the first stages of the race, but the horse did not respond. This statement was confirmed by Stewards after viewing the race video. Subsequent to the race a veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards noted explanations.

NT 5: MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000 METRES 6 STARTERS
RAJA MAHAL (G Lefoe) knuckled over as start effected. CHARIOT WAY (B Huppatz) was slow into stride. HULA BRIGHT (T Norton) was slow to begin.
1ST SOCCER 2ND IT'S OUR BOY 3RD RAJA MAHAL
NT 7: OPEN HANDICAP 1000 METRES 8 STARTERS
PELT (B Huppatz) proved difficult to load into the starting stalls. SON OF GRACE (T Norton) stumbled as start effected. Subsequent to the race Stewards informed trainer Mr K LAMPRECHT that a warning would be placed on PELT and action may be taken if the horse proves difficult to load in future.
