At the 1000 metres KELTRICK was eased when tightened for room by MODERN GLORY (B Davis (a)) which shifted in.  BLUES LEGEND (M Abe(a)) and PECKJATA (S Ridler) were also tightened for room and had to be eased.  B Davis(a) was severely reprimanded and notified that in similar circumstances in future he must ensure he is 2 lengths clear prior to shifting ground.

Rounding the home turn GOLD HAWK was disappointed for a clear run on the inside of PECKJATA which rolled in on several occasions.

At the start STUN GUN jumped inwards onto NOT THIS TIME (NZ) which lost ground as a consequence. 

T Perry, rider of STUN GUN was reprimanded for excessive use of the whip on that gelding (AR137A(1)).

On jumping away CALIGULA and ORIENTAL TREASURE came together.  Shortly after the start CALIGUA and MOOKTA’S REWARD bumped.

RACE SEVEN       CLASS B HCP – 13OO M

Mr K Lamprecht, trainer of GOLD HAWK was fined $50 for nominating that gelding for this event when ineligible (AR64 (1)).

As there was no rider available RHYTHMIC STEP was withdrawn by the stewards at 3.30pm.

At the start RUXTON jumped out onto GAGS who then moved out and bumped EYE EYE SIR.

Brendon Davis (a), rider of WASN’T IT GOOD dropped his whip at the 400 metres.

Subsequent to the event the clubs veterinary surgeon inspected RUXTON which performed poorly and reported that he could find no apparent abnormality.

At the start KISSING DOWN jumped awkwardly across HADRIAN.

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected WINABULL subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding was lame in the near fore leg.
