Trainer Jilliane Prow fined $50 for allowing an unlicenced person, Gordon Prow, to handle her horse at Yaraka 27/7/2002. When challenged by stewards she advised that she had arranged registration for him but on checking with the CWQ office it was found that this was not the case.
RACE 1: Class 6 H'CAP - 1000m
No incidents.
RACE 2: MAIDEN H'CAP - 1000m
BERET was declared a non-runner when its gate failed to open with the others denying that horse a fair start. All monies on that horse were ordered refunded and deductions of 10c win and 13c place were declared.
RACE 3: CLASS 2 H'CAP - 1200m
No incidents.
RACE 4: Open Handicap - 1200m
No incidents.
RACE 5: Class 4 H'CAP - 1400m
MILL VALLEY stood flat footed as the gates opened and lost ground.
