Jumps Jockey and Trainer Fined After Altercation

Stewards today concluded their inquiries into an alleged incident which occurred during trackwork at Cheltenham Park on Tuesday morning, 24 February 2003. Evidence was taken from the Racecourse Investigator, Mr. K. Glover, Licensed Trainer, Mr. B. Searle, Stablehand, Mrs. S. Searle and Licensed Jockey, Jason Wallace.
After considering the evidence Jason Wallace was found guilty of a charge of improper conduct under ARR 175(a) and fined $200. Mr. Searle pleaded guilty to a charge of improper conduct under ARR 175(a) and was fined $200.
Jason Wallace was questioned regarding misinformation provided in a statement to the Racecourse Investigator. Jason Wallace was reprimanded and cautioned to ensure that details provided to Stewards are correct in future.
