Balfour Escapes Ban Following Jude's Inquiry

Stewards today conducted an Inquiry into the urine sample taken from NOT JUDE’S CHOICE at Morphettville on Wednesday, 16th February 2003, containing the substance Ranitidine.
Trainer of NOT JUDE’S CHOICE Mr. D. G. Balfour admitted the filly had been treated with a commercial preparation for stomach ulcers, however, provided evidence that the treatment had not been administered on race day.
After considering the evidence, Stewards determined that no breach of ARR 189A (1) had occurred.
