Another Big Weekend Out for Lindsay Park

Lindsay Park trainer Tony McEvoy and "boss" David Hayes had another successful weekend at the track with both talented horsemen recording multiple winners.

McEvoy scored an interstate metropolitan on double courtesy of former talented Perth galloper Lady Knockout at Caulfield in Melbourne and Brandy Cruster who lead throughout to win at Cheltenham in Adelaide.

Yesterday the winning run of the current Adelaide and Melbourne premiership leader continued at Gawler with two winners from limited runners.

After enjoying a lovely run throughout the race the son of Unbridled's Song swept to the lead at the top of the short straight and set up a winning break for in form rider Paul Gatt.

Earlier in the afternoon the well bred two-year-old Silverstein (Rory's Jester-Sisterhood) proved too strong in the race for juveniles.

The stable picked up the feature event of the afternoon, the Gawler Cup courtesy of the flashy grey galloper Unbridled Lad, who was having his first start at the distance.

Meanwhile, last night in Hong Kong, David Hayes ended the program with training honours following the success of three of his runners.

The aptly named Good Win, debut juvenile Always Welcome and the consistent performer Songs of Praise all saluted at Sha Tin, further cementing Hayes' second position on the Hong Kong trainers' premiership, now just 11 behind John Size.
