Potter Sent to Hospital After Fall

Leading South Australian apprentice Justin Potter was been transported to hospital after a terrifying incident during the second race in which his mount died.

Potter was taken by ambulance for obserations after complaining of hip and wrist soreness.

Recently crowned the Dux of the Apprentice's School in South Australia, Potter tumbled from his mount Mr Jay Vee after that gelding crashed through the running rail during the early stages of the second race.

Potter has been replaced on his remaining mounts for the Victoria Park card.

Moments ago one of his original mounts Aptego finished strongly to finish a close second to the track specialist Heracles in the Mitty's Handicap.
