Lot 92 Bay Colt Dangerous – Bravitian

This colt is another member of Dangerous’ first crop being from Without Fear mare Bravitian dam of stakesplaced Brave Lead plus 3 other winners.  Offered by Dr G & C Tucker he was purchased by Mark Pilkington Bloodstock, Vic, for $45,000.

Lot 107 Bay Colt Danehill – Cherry Garden

Offered by Collingrove Stud this colt is by champion sire Danehill.  Danehill has produced stakeswinners such as Golden Slipper winners Catbird, Flying Spur, Ha Ha, Danzero and Merlene plus Dane Ripper, Nothin Leica Dane, etc and has been leading Australian sire 6 times.  Cherry Garden is an unraced Sir Tristram mare who has produced one to race being the stakeswinner Liberty Rose.  Cherry Garden is from stakeswinner Freedom Fields who produced SP Liberty Hall and is from stakeswinner Lady Liberty.  This colt was sold in two bids starting at $200,000 then the final successful bid.  Purchased by Gai Waterhouse, NSW, for $250,000 this colt topped the sale and is the highest priced yearling sold since Magic Millions took over the Adelaide sale.

Lot 108 Bay Colt Scenic – Circles of Smiles

Sired by successful sire Scenic who has sired stakeswinners such as Blevic, Universal Prince, Lochrae, Shame, Episode, etc this colt is the first foal of winning Carry a Smile mare Circles of Smiles.  The third dam of this yearling is the SP Fuji Lee who produced stakeswinner Adraanito (dam of SW Spargo and of Add Tinsel dam of Celestial Show).  Offered by Murrulla Stud he was purchased by Phillip Stokes, SA, for $45,000.

Lot 126 Bay Colt End Sweep – Danamani

Offered by A & J Rasheed Zahia’s Lodge this colt is by US stallion End Sweep whose oldest Australian progeny are now 2yos but is the sire of US Stakeswinners Nany’s Sweep, Trippi, Swept Overboard, Dark Ending, etc.  Danamani is by Danehill from Comely Lass dam of SW Vigil.  Other stakeswinners in the family are Caledonian Boy, Lady of the Pines and Heaps of Fun.   This colt was purchased by Mark Pilkington Bloodstock, Vic, for $85,000.

Lot 146 Bay Filly Last Tycoon – Eccentricity

Offered by Mill Park this filly is by champion sire Last Tycoon who has also produced  stakeswinners Mahogany, Marju, Bigstone, Lady Jakeo, Magic of oney, Tracys Element, etc.  Stakeswinner Eccentricity is the dam of stakeswinner Wyndam Glory and winner Centurian for her previous two foals.   This filly was purchased by Magic Millions as Agent for $55,000.

Lot 148 Bay Filly Catbird – Emerald Set

Another offering from Catbird’s first crop this filly is from the Mustin Lake mare Emerald Set.  Emerald Set has produced three foals to race with all being successful and these were the talented Glenwest, Emerald Lake and Comic Jewel.  Emerald Set is from grand producing mare Carenel who has produced SW True Spirit, Spirit of Hope, Blevvo amongst her 9 named foals who were all winners.  Offered by Kambula Stud this filly was purchased by PW & H Jolly for $70,000.

Lot 155 Bay Filly Last Tycoon – Excitant

Another yearling by champion sire Last Tycoon is this filly from the Rory’s Jester mare Excitant.  She is the first foal of Excitant who was from US winner Kasimova who also produced the winning Forever Dancing and was from the SP Aradian Dancer dam of SW Lead Kindly Light (dam of SW Gold Fever and Emanating) and SW Out of Place.  Offered by Sharondon Park this filly was purchased by Anzac Lodge, NZ, for $100,000.

Lot 158 Bay Filly Rubiton – False Moon

Champion stallion Rubiton produced another high selling lot in this filly from Is It True mare False Moon.  False Moon is from Rare Moon dam of SP Hello Boys who is from SW Elegant Shell dam of SW Escondida.   Elegant Shell was from champion broodmare Grable dam of SW My Evita (dam of Vitalic and Don’t Cry dam of Tears Royal), SW Salmark, SW Sussex Star and Leisurely dam of SW Cheval Cavalier.  Offered by Lakewood Stud this filly was purchased by Rick Hore Lacy, Vic, for $55,000.

Lot 160 Bay Colt Secret Savings – Farrow

Offered by Emirates Park this colt was purchased by Magic Millions as Agent for $75,000.  Sired by Secret Savings (sire of SWDash for Cash, Salameh, Secret Land, etc) this is the first live foal of Silver Deputy mare Farrow.  Farrow is from the Alydar mare Serenely who in turn is from SW Reminiscing dam of 14 to race and 12 winners including the stakeswinners Persevered, Premiership and Commemorate.  Reminiscing is from Hail to Reason mare Straight Deal the multiple Group 1 winner of 21 races and dam of 8 winners including stakeswinners Desiree and Belonging dam of Belong to Me.

Lot 166 Bay Colt Danehill Dancer – Flowers for Rory

Offered by Flower Hill Stud this colt is by Danehill Dancer the sire of stakes performers Choisir, Jar Jar Binks, Where or When, Private Steer, etc.  Flowers for Rory is by Rory’s Jester and this is her first foal.  She is from the stakesplaced winner Show of Flowers dam of SW Botanical and winners Sleight of Hand, Happy Hero, Smilingly and Folly Doll.  This filly was purchased by Anthony Cavanagh, Vic, for $65,000.

Lot 193 Bay Filly Danzero – In The Mist

Offered by Lakewood Stud this filly was purchased by John Foote Bloodstock, Qld, for $50,000.  She is sired by Danzero (sire of Fairway, Danglissa, All Courage, Kingsgate, Miss Bussell, etc) from the Southern Appeal mare In The Mist.  In The Mist was a stakeswinner successful in 10 races and was from the Plush mare Ceres Mist, also the dam of the speedy Danazar, Henderson and Southern Sprinter amongst her 6 winners.

Lot 198 Chestnut Colt Distorted Humor – Jenna

Another from the Lakewood Stud draft this colt is by the successful US sire Distorted Humor who has stakeswinners Awesome Humor, Humorous Lady, Rinky Dink, etc and his oldest local progeny are now 2yos.  This colt is from the Deputy Governor mare Jenna and is her second foal.  Jenna is from Royal Proposal the dam of champion NZ 3yo Roysyn and stakeswinner Pastel amongst her 5 winners.   This colt was purchased by Rick Hore Lacy, Vic, for $92,500.

Lot 241 Chestnut Filly King of Kings – Miss Golly

Lakewood Stud also offered this filly by Sadler’s Wells stallion King of Kings which was purchased by Allan Williams, Vic, for $50,000.  Miss Golly has produced 10 previous foals for 8 winners including the SP Sparky Miss, dam of SW Rancho Spark and SP Dual Spark, SP Fiddle Talk and Princess Golly.   Miss Golly is also a half sister to Sculpture’s Blue the stakeswinning dam of Aural Sculptor and Blueper.

Lot 246 Chestnut Filly General Nediym – Miss Teen

Former classy sprinter General Nediym had representatives of his second crop on offer this year and again they were very popular.   This filly was offered by Brooklyn Park Stud and is from the Al Hareb mare Miss Teen.  Miss Teen has produced a winner from one to race and is from the stakeswinner Game Miss who produced 9 winners from 10 foals to race.  This filly was purchased by Gary Kennewell, SA for $55,000.

Lot 250 Bay Colt Zeditave – Mrs Magoo

Offered by Eagle Ridge Thoroughbreds this colt is by champion sprinter Zeditave.  Zeditave is the sire of Strategic, Ruffles, Assertive Lad, Assertive Lass, Sports, The Heavyweight etc.  Mrs Magoo has produced 2 to race including the talented Horrocks.  This colt was purchased by Robbie Laing, Vic for $55,000.

Lot 256 Bay Filly Last Tycoon – Mythical Echo

This filly was another of the well received draft of Last Tycoon.  She is from the Danehill mare Mythical Echo who is represented by the exciting young two-year-old Rainbow Echo, already a winner this season. Mythical Echo is the winning sister to SW Apple Danish.  Offered by Collingrove Stud she was purchased by Torryburn Stud, NSW, for $48,000.
