Lindsay Park on Brink of Major Milestones

As their best ever season continues to roll on beautifully, powerful South Australian based training establishment Lindsay Park are destined to pass two impressive milestones this weekend.

With Tony McEvoy racking up winners left, right and centre throughout South Australia and Victoria since August 1, the famous thoroughbred stables need just two winners over the long weekend to register winner number 200 for the season.

Two winners will also notch up winner number 3000 for Lindsay Park since the retirement of the champion trainer and Lindsay Park founder and visionary Colin (CS) Hayes.

CS retired in 1990 after a career which netted a staggering 5,333 win including the country's biggest races including the Melbourne Cup, Golden Slipper, Caulfield Cup and VRC and AJC Derby.

McEvoy has two runners at Moonee Valley tonight, with numerous runners at the Flemington and Morphettville meetings on both Saturday and Monday.

To the end of February, McEvoy's tally of winners is twelve higher than any previous trainer in the history of Lindsay Park to the same time during the season.

The stable is also hoping to add another Group One victory to their list of 191 winners at racing's elite level. North Boy, El Nino, Fields of Omagh and Baggage will be representing McEvoy in his quest for Group One winner number one at Flemington.
