The programme of this meeting was rescheduled due to weather related transportation difficulties from Adelaide involving several riders and Officials resulting in the programme being delayed and commencing at 2.15 pm and Race 3 rescheduled to be the last event on the programme.

RACE 1  :   T & R PASTORAL/SABIS COLTS, GELDINGS AND ENTIRES MAIDEN PLATE  -  1000 metres

KEENAN’S PRIDE (P. Marks) and PORTLAD (R. Faehr) were slow to begin.

D. Tootell, rider of ROCK’S FOLLY, the second placegetter, lodged an objection against SOCIAL HOST (J. Marks), the winner, for alleged interference in the straight.  After taking evidence from riders, on viewing the official video and on the observations of the Stewards, D. Tootell’s objection was dismissed.  D. Tootell was advised by Stewards that considering the official winning margin of a length and a half, his objection was bordering on being frivolous.

Over the concluding 100 metres SOCIAL HOST (J. Marks) shifted in slightly resulting in ROCK’S FOLLY (D. Tootell) being inconvenienced.

RACE 2  :   SUNSMART/SABIS CLASS D HANDICAP  -  1000 metres

WEST STREET (B. Vale) was slow to begin.

In the vicinity of the 600 metres ELITE CHEF (K. Louca) had to be checked to avoid the heels of other runners.

RACE 3  :   QUEENSCLIFFE FAMILY HOTEL/SABIS FILLIES AND MARES MAIDEN PLATE  -  1000 metres

KNIGHT’S LADY (J. Marks) was slow to begin.

B. Vale, rider of WRANGLE, was warned by Stewards against the practice of making a celebratory gesture prior to the finish.

RACE 4  :   WEST END FLYING HANDICAP  -  1000 metres

KING’S CHOICE (R. Faehr) and IRISH JANTEE (K. Louca) were slow to begin.

RACE 5  :   WOLF BLASS HANDICAP  -  1730 metres

SWINDLER’S WAY (R. Faehr) was slow to begin and made the turn out of the home straight awkwardly, shifting out.

In the vicinity of the 1300 metres GRISWALD (B. Vale) shifted in abruptly making contact with the running rail and losing some ground.

RACE 6  :   WOODSTOCK CLASS 5 HANDICAP  -  1350 metres

SHORTAZ (J. Lyon) was slow to begin.
