RACE 2 – NARACOORTE CHAFF CO. / SABIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres

LAMBRUK (P. Marks) jumped away awkwardly and inconvenienced HIGH GAZER (W. Kerford) and as a result that mare lost ground.

TWIGUVON (C. Lindop) and STOCKPORT (J. O’Connor) were slow to begin.

SPEEDBALL (J. Julian) was slow into stride and hung out throughout the race.

Racing to the 800 metres HIGH GAZER (W. Kerford) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of MINI FRAAR (A. Darmanin).

Racing to the 100 metres MINI FRAAR (A. Darmanin) attempted a run on the inside of LAMBRUK (P. Marks), where there was insufficient room and as a result collided with LAMBRUK. A. Darmanin was advised to ensure that he had sufficient room before attempting runs.

RACE 4 – JETSET NARACOORTE / MALAYSIA AIRLINES DISTANCE CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 2000 metres

BATTLEBEEL (NZ) (C. Bryant) shifted out making the home turn and as a result took EYE CONTACT (D. Tootell) and DANGER CHARGER (J. Potter) wider on the track.

RACE 5 – LUCINDALE HOTEL / SABIS F & M CLASS 3 HANDICAP (SPRING SERIES Heat 5) – 1200 metres

GLASSPARK (M. Hagley) was slow to begin.

Racing to the 500 metres until approximately the 300 metres PINOT NOW (M. Neilson) was held up for a run behind WITCH QUEEN (D. Tootell), when that mare commenced to weaken.

Correct Weight was delayed to permit J. Potter, rider of EDVOKIA, to view the official video film of the start. After doing so J. Potter, in the presence of the mare’s Trainer Mr. M. Whittle, were both satisfied that EDVOKIA had not been denied a fair start and Correct Weight was declared.

Approaching the winning post PRINCESS TAYLAH (C. Lindop) rolled in and brushed WITCH QUEEN (D. Tootell), which in turn made contact with PINOT NOW (M. Neilson).

TELDALE (G. O’Loughlin) was slow to begin.

On jumping away SPIDER HENRY (C. Lindop) shifted in, inconveniencing COMEDIE FRANCAISE (NZ) (C. Bryant) and WHY RITA (J. Potter).

Racing to the 800 metres SPIDER HENRY (C. Lindop) was inconvenienced and brushed the running rail due to LEGAL GOLD (A. Darmanin) brushing and being taken in by JET LANE (J. Maund), which had a tendency to shift in and away from TELDALE (G. O’Loughlin), which moved in when going to the lead. Shortly after this incident SPIDER HENRY (C. Lindop) had to be checked due to LEGAL GOLD and JET LANE rolling in again.

Racing to the 300 metres HAZY GREY (W. Kerford) was taken wider by COMEDIE FRANCAISE (NZ) (C. Bryant).

Mr. A. Purcell, Trainer of RUNNING FREE, was advised that should the mare prove difficult to load in future action may be taken against it.
