South Australian Derby - Final Field & Barriers

Red Colossus has drawn ideally to complete a clean sweep of Adelaide’s feature three-year-old events by winning this Sunday’s $300,000 Group One Betfair.com South Australian Derby (2500m) at Morphettville.
Trained by Greg Eurell, Red Colossus will start from barrier two and will be ridden by Chris Symons who gets the opportunity to ride his first Group 1 winner.
Red Colossus at his last two starts has won the Listed Port Adelaide Guineas (1800m) and Listed Chairman’s Stakes (2014m).
David Hayes will be represented by Chairman’s Stakes runner-up Token Of Honour (barrier 1) and Group 1 VRC Derby (2500m) runner-up Extra Zero who will start from gate 13.
Steven King, who already has won a Group 1 race in Adelaide this season aboard Rostova in the Robert Sangster Stakes, will ride the Craig Curtis-trained Storm Brewing who has been thereabouts at his past couple of starts.
Kidnapped, who finished an honourable third last start in the Chairman’s Stakes, will have to contend with the outside alley on Sunday.
