Apprentice Thompson Suspended

Victorian-based apprentice Ashley Thompson has been suspended for 11 days after being charged with careless riding at Morphettville on Saturday.
Riding in the third race, the Leabrook Farm Honey Handicap (1050m), Thompson shortly after the start allowed his mount Pray To Win to shift into Cute To Boot who was ridden by fellow apprentice Jordan Frew.
Thompson pleaded guilty to careless riding and was suspended for four meetings with his suspension to commence on after Saturday until September 2 on which day he may be able to ride.
