Wednesday's Murray Bridge Races Report

Murray Bridge trainer John Hickmott led the parade when he had back to back winners at Murray Bridge on Wednesday.

The three year old gelding Missionary Man, sired by Foreplay from the Snaadee matron Impala Star, was the impressive six and a half length winner of the fourth race which was contested over 1206 metres.

Having the services of rider Todd Pannell and drifting in the betting two points from $3 to $3.20 Missionary Man came from third and beat the Leon Macdonald / Andrew Gluyas trained Adrian Patterson steered Inamorta $5.50.

Sir Swift, the $3 favourite, provided the minor placing for Matthew Seyers and Matthew Neilson.

The three quarters of a length win of the $3.50 favourite, the apprentice Jordon Frew mount Bell Ringer, gave mentor John Hickmott the second leg of his double in the 2206 metre fifth race.

From the Bellwater mare Bellawella and fathered by Taos, Bell Ringer came from last and powered home to beat the $6 chance Hightop $6 for trainer Shane Oxlade and jockey Justin Potter. Starting at $6.50 Afrisky Business was a farther short neck away third for the ladies, Liz Faust and Tamara Zanker.

Mentor John Dunn and apprentice Amy Herrmann started the day off  well when Turf Cutter $6 was the three and a half length  winner of the 1606 metre opening event.

A Blevic sired four year old gelding from a daughter of Celestial Dancer, London Lass, Turf Cutter was seen running on after coming from a rearward position. Turf Cutter beat the Kym Buick trained  Adrian Patterson mount Special Leader $4.40. Fatalii $6 was a nose away third for Karen Byrnes and Matthew Neilson.

A one and a quarter length win by the Beautiful Crown sired Six Crownies $4-60 gave the combination of trainer Gary Searle and rider Jeffrey Maund victory in the 1206 metre second event.

From the Spinning World matron Ku de Tah Six Crownies was handy to the lead throughout and beat the apprentice Brodie Petherick ridden Leon Macdonald / Andrew Gluyas prepared Shah Rukh $3.90.  Mavross $3.60 was another one and a quarter lengths away  taking out the third prizemoney for David Jolly and Paul Gatt.

The combination of trainer Mark Minervini and jockey Adrian Patterson tasted victory when Mimiele was the one and half length winner of  race three which was run over 1406 metres.

Starting the punter’s choice at $2.15 the Barely A Moment fathered Mimiele, from the Bellotto mare Our Fame, was well placed and beat the Bill Bogarts trained Libby Hopwood ridden Swoopy Coupe $3. Novasaurus $26 was another three and quarter lengths away third for Leon Macdonald/Andrew Gluyas and Brodie Petherick.

After coming from the back half of the field Heaven For, the $2.80 favourite, gave horse carer Bill Bogarts and apprentice Lauren Stojakovic a two length win in the 906 metre six event.

Sired by the New Zealand entire Suresh and mothered by the Vain Papa mare Stealing Heaven, Heaven For Sure beat the Barry Dunn trained Justin Potter ridden Ziadie $7. The $3.20 second favourite Hearts ‘N’ Halos was a farther length away third for Peter Blanch and Matthew Neilson.

Morphettville based trainer Peter Macdonald enjoyed the success of winning when the Michael Hoppo ridden Sachse was the half neck winner of the 1606 metre seventh race.

Starting at $5 the Happy Giggle sired Sasche, out of the Flying Spur mare Lords Favour, led from the barrier before drifting back to a mid field position and mustering speed once again to go on to beat the Tamara Zanker mount, the Kym Buick cared for Maluka Bill $7-50. The $8 returned Lord Of The Song was another one and a quarter length away third for John Croucher and Justin Potter.

The four year old progeny of the New Zealand bred sire Court Of Jewels and the Our Poetic mare Divine Act saw Ace Or Joka give his Millicent trainer Ian Walker and rider Dominic Tourneur a one and a half length win in the 1206 metre final event.

A $9 chance when the starter released the field Ace Or Joka came from a mid field position and beat the Simon Casey prepared Simon Price ridden Akhabrach $3.70. My Uncle Vinny $8.50 was a farther long neck away third for Karen Letts Maund and Brodie Petherick.
