Wednesday's Morphettville Parks Report

Favourite backers were into stride early when the Mark Kavanagh cared for Todd Pannell guided Test Pilot $3 was the one and a quarter length victor of the 1000 metre first event on the Parks track at Morphettville on Wednesday.

A Jet Spur three year old gelding from an Entrepreneur mare Achar, Test Pilot was well placed and beat Albion $3.20 for trainer Michael Hickmott and rider Shayne Cahill.  Starting at $101 Classical Glory was one and a half lengths away third for the Frew team of Kevin and Heather and their son Jordon.

Coming from well back the O’Reilly sired Mr Lowndes $5 gave trainer Richard Jolly and jockey Chad Lever a three length win in the second race which was run over 1400 metres.

From the Hereward the Wake matron The Wake, Mr Lowndes beat the Mark Kavanagh trained Todd Pannell ridden Ornamental $6.  Out Of Wings $17 was another half length away third for Kate Dyson and Michael Mcclean.

Visiting Cranbourne trainer Todd Balfour and apprentice Scott Westover combined in the long head win of Noble Destiny $5 in the 2250 metre third race.

From the Polish Patriot mare Lady Arlington the Dubai Destination fathered Noble Destiny was an on-pace runner and beat the John Hickmott charge, the Dominic Tourneur guided Bratik $17.  Kellerman $3.80 was another one and a quarter lengths away third for Judy Potts and Jordon Frew.

Starting at $4.60 Sandhill Chief gave his trainer Sam Turner and rider Dominic Tourneur a short head win in the fourth race which was contested over 1400 metres.

Sired by the Great Britain bred entire Black Hawk from the Jeune mare Gundooee Miss, Sandhill Chief came from a rearward position to beat the Jon O’Connor cared for Paul Gatt guided Lady Dynamo, the $2.20 public elect.  The $5 chance Twilight Dancer was another two lengths away for Bill Bogarts and apprentice Libby Hopwood.

Recording her second win from seventeen starts the Jeune sired mare Stella Jeune gave trainer Peter A Jones and jockey Clare Lindop a three quarters of a length win in the 1000 metre fifth race.

From the Desert Prince mare La Ponch, Stella Jeune came from a mid field position and defeated the Michael Hickmott cared for Libby Hopwood ridden Hillfire $3.50.  Highness $6.50 was another three quarters of a length away filling the minor placing for Paul Gatt and John  Macmillan.

Jockey Clare Lindop scored her second straight success when she steered Wild Manners $12 to a half length win in the 1300 metre sixth race for the mentoring combination of Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas.

A daughter of Tale Of The Cat out of the Grand Lodge matron Grand Manners, Wild  Manners came from a mid field position  and defeated Our Lara $5.50 for Brian Mueller and apprentice Claudia Lions.  Often The Way, the $3 punter’s choice, was another three quarters of a length away third.

Starting at $12 the Denis O’Leary cared for Jordon Frew mount Value As was the one and a quarter length winner of race seven which was contested over 1400 metres.

The progeny of Face Value and a daughter of Saratoga Springs - As Discreet - Value As was well placed and beat the $7 returned Visual Impact $7 for trainer Ken Sweeney and jockey Clare Lindop.

Invincible Diva, the $3.70 favourite, was a length and a half away third for Mark Kavanagh and Chad Lever.

The partnership of trainer Dion Koch and rider Justin Potter were associated with the $4.20 chance Chilli Diva who was the short neck winner of the 1550 metre final event.

From the Blevic mare Twisted Dream the Akhadan fathered Chilli Diva came from well back and defeated the John Hickmott cared for Libby Hopwood ridden Ruling To Win, the $1.90 favourite.

Fraacharm $26 was a farther three quarters of a length away third for Ryan Balfour and apprentice Melissa Walters.
