Whittle Asked To Bite Tongue

Strathalbyn-based trainer Mick Whittle has been issued with a suspended fine after pleading guilty to abusing an official.

TRSA stewards received a complaint from an official at the Strathalbyn Racing Club that on May 31 Whittle used foul language towards the official in a telephone conversation.

After considering all circumstances in the case, stewards imposed a $400 fine which is wholly suspended on the proviso Whittle is not found guilty of a similar breach in the next six months.

Whittle will saddle up talented sprinter Periduki in Saturday's $32,000 Betfair +68 Handicap (1000m) at Morphettville Parks and if successful, Periduki will have won three of his last four starts.
