Harvey and Waterhouse Highlight Millions Lunch

On Channel 7/Magic Millions race day, Wednesday February 19, guests will be able to enjoy the action on the track whilst partaking in a sumptuous 3-course lunch and five-hour drink package at Morphettville Racecourse.

The event will be highlighted by guest speakers Gerry Harvey and Gai Waterhouse and complemented by fashion parades and other exciting entertainment, not to mention the running of the $400,000 Channel 7 Magic Millions Adelaide 2-Year-old Classic – Adelaide’s richest race.

Gerry Harvey is an entrepreneur and one of the Australia’s best known retailers. He is the Chairman and major shareholder in the Harvey Norman Group, a household name around the country, with over 100 stores throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

He is as famous for his racing and breeding exploits as he is in the retail world. He is a founder of Magic Millions, along with John Singleton and Rob Ferguson and is the organisation’s current Chairman. He has served on the board of the Sydney Turf Club and is currently the proprietor of Broombee and Baramul studs.

Following in her famous fathers, TJ (Tommy) Smith footsteps, Gai has blended tradition and innovation to guide her to the pinnacle of performance. Her stables, Tulloch Lodge located at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney has been home to the likes of Assertive Lad, Assertive Lass, Nothin’ Leica Dane, Juggler and Secret Savings. Gai is without doubt one of the most glamorous players in the racing industry.
