The starting times for Races 1, 2, 3 and 4 were rescheduled due to the late arrival of the Jockeys’ plane.

RACE 1 – SA BREWING CLASS D HANDICAP – 1000 metres

WALK TALL was withdrawn by Stewards at 12.50 p.m. due to B. Grimston being unable to make the allotted weight. B. Grimston pleaded guilty to a charge under ARR 120(b) and was fined $200.

In the vicinity of the 600 metres FLAMINGO LASS (J. Marks) and VAINEST (K. Stra) brushed heavily.

Near the 150 metres MUSGITAL (B. Dunn) attempted to lay in, resulting in that rider having to stop riding and straighten her mount.

RACE 2 - TONY’S TUNA INTERNATIONAL / SABIS TWO-YEAR-OLD CLASS D HANDICAP – 1000 metres

DIB’S SON and OUR DATS proved difficult to load in the gates. Trainer Ms. A. Morrison was warned that a repetition of DIB’S SON and OUR DATS behaviour may lead to action being taken against them.

MUSTIN DE COEUR (B. Dunn) and SANDVIEW (J. O’Connor) raced greenly throughout the event.

RACE 3 – SEVEN CENTRAL FLYING HANDICAP - 1200 metres

Correct Weight was delayed to permit B. Vale, rider of the 3^rd Placegetter SILVER MOLLY, to view the photo-finish.

RACE 4 – VARIETY CLUB NT BEACH BOYS MAIDEN PLATE – 1400 metres

SOUTHERN TOUCH, which was kicked en route to the course, was withdrawn by Stewards at 11.30 a.m. acting on Veterinary advice.

RACE 5 – CEDUNA SHELL ROADHOUSE CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1400 metres
