Honour the Legends at the Racing Museum

The exhibition celebrates amazing triumphs and ground-breaking records of all of the 40 present inductees, with many rare and personal items from the greats of racing on display from the 7 October to the 15 December.
Director of the Australian Racing Museum, Joe McGrath stated that the exhibition will be a fitting tribute to past legends of the turf, providing a valuable insight into racing's luminaries.
"The opportunity to take a look at truly recognised racing's turf legends is unique and to have memorabilia of this significance will be of great interest not only to the racing purist, but also the general racing and historical enthusiast.
"The exhibition complements the initiative shown by the racing industry to establish its official Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2001 - a relevant body which recognises the heroes of the Australian turf," McGrath stated.
Highlights at the exhibition will include original 'tools of the trade' such as Bill Collins' tape recorder and microphone, trainer Jack Holt's pocket watch presented to him after Eurythmic's great win in the 1921 Sydney Cup, and the bridle worn by Phar Lap in his amazing, and tragically final win in 1932 in the Aqua Caliente Handicap, Mexico.
Admire Carbine's stunning 1890 Melbourne Cup, jockey Neville Sellwood's French Premiership whip, the original colours worn by Scobie Breasley when he rode St Fairy to victory in the 1945 Caulfield Cup and the enormous heart of the great champion, Tulloch.
