Race 1 - CHURCHILL COUGARS MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres:

When the gates opened, "Boot 'N' Scoot" and "Ethel May" both knuckled.

Shortly after the start, "Situate" shifted in and brushed "Kenteris".

Near the 600 metres, "Boot 'N' Scoot" had to be eased off the heels of "Linnet".

Approaching the 400 metres, "Boot 'N' Scoot" brushed the running rail.

During the running of the race, "Situate" suffered a bleeding attack for the second time.

Race 2 - TTU BOMBERS MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres:

En route to the barrier, L. Milham was dislodged from "Zakides". "Zakides" was then returned to the barrier and inspected by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

When the gates opened, "Miss Scotia" knuckled badly.

Near the 900 metres, "Krikwell", which was over-racing, shifted out abruptly and hampered "Zakides".

Race 3 - TRAFALGAR BLOODS SUPER VOBIS 3YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:

Subsequent to the running of this race, Stewards altered the track category from Good to Dead at 1.24 p.m.

Near the 600 metres, "Infinite Grace" and "Walk The Valkyries" were hampered when tightened for room between "Lady Penrhyn" and "Reface" which shifted out slightly.

Rounding the home turn "Infinite Grace" was held up for a short distance when unable to obtain a clear run.

Race 4 - NEWBOROUGH BULLDOGS MAIDEN PLATE - 1600 metres:

Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Mr. G. O'Connell, owner/trainer of "Grinding Away", who stated to the Stewards that he was unable to arrive on course due to his vehicle breaking down en route to the course, Stewards therefore, ordered the withdrawal of "Grinding Away" at 12.21 p.m.

On arrival at the course, "Light Squall" was inspected by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

Race 5 - WARRAGUL GULLS MAIDEN PLATE - 1600 metres:

In the mounting yard, "Glassy Wing (NZ)" reared on two occasions and made contact with the outside fence. "Glassy Wing (NZ)" was inspected by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and was declared unfit to run. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of "Glassy Wing (NZ)" at 2.19 p.m. Subsequent to the event, Stewards ordered the following betting deductions: All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting to be refunded and that all successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: WIN BETS: 8 cents; PLACE BETS: 8 cents; WINNING CONCESSION BETS: 8 cents; DOUBLES BETS; 8 cents. All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket.

Near the 1200 metres, "Sir Danzabaa" and "Lanveda" came together due to both horses shifting ground.

Race 6 - ROC KANGAROOS CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

When the gates opened, "Vertraag (NZ)" knuckled.

Race 7 - INVERLOCH SEA EAGLES CLASS 1 HCP - 1200 metres:

Subsequent to the running of this race, Stewards altered the track category from Dead to Slow at 3.42 p.m.

Race 8 - FISH CREEK KANGAROOS CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Near the 1200 metres, "Mighty Morphett", which was over-racing, was hampered when racing tight between "Classic Encores" and "Loch 'N' Roll".

V. Duric, rider of "Prince Byron" was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, the careless riding being that near the 500 metres, he permitted his mount to shift out when not sufficiently clear of "Karamal", thereby tightening that mare out onto "Paddy William" resulting in "Karamal" having to be checked and "Paddy William" being hampered. V. Duric had his permit to ride in races suspended for a period to commence at midnight on the 17th September, 2002 and to expire at midnight on the 3rd October, 2002.

Race 9 - FOOTY'S OVER GET TO THE RACES OPEN HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Shortly after the start "Our Melissa's Boy (NZ)", when racing tight between "Grand Seattle" and "Strait Dash", knuckled badly resulting in J. Benbow, the gelding's rider, being dislodged.

Near the 700 metres, "Augusta" was hampered by the riderless horse.

Near the 200 metres, "Prospero" shifted in and brushed "Rupert".

After passing the 200 metres, "Aeronautic (NZ)" shifted out away from "Prospero" and hampered "Meridien Magique".

Race 10 - $100,000 CARLTON DRAUGHT MOE CUP ON 17/10 F & M CLASS 3 HCP - 1100 metres:

When the gates opened, "Nevertheless" knuckled. Also when the gates opened, "Fashion Charge" jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the winning post, "See The Sense" shifted out and brushed "Scarlet Ruby".
