r6leefreedman.jpg (8505 bytes)Broadband’s chances of winning the Group One Caulfield Guineas in October have been dealt a blow with the youngster out of this Sunday’s Guineas Prelude at the same track.

The highly rated galloper has a foot absyss according to trainer Lee Freedman and he will not be able to run on Sunday.

Broadband impressed first up when he ran a fast finishing third to Delago Brom and Great Glen at Caulfield in the Vain Stakes.

Then at his next start he was sent out one of the fancies with Great Glen and they both disappointed when they finished down the track at Flemington.

At his last start punters, and in fact Freedman, were left scratching their heads when top jock Damien Oliver sent the fancied runner forward in the field.
