Victorian Clubs in Running for Awards

Country Racing Victoria today announced the nominations for the prestigious 'Country Racing Club of the Year'.

The winner of the award will be announced at the Country Racing Awards to be held at the Crown Entertainment Complex on Friday 6 September.

RACING CLUB AWARDS

The Country Racing Awards recognise country racing clubs that have best matched a selection of quality benchmarks during the 2001/2002 racing season.

An independent panel of judges have shortlisted the following racing clubs (in alphabetical order) under each category.

Victorian Country Racing Club of the Year

Bendigo, Kyneton and Seymour are finalists to take out the prestigious 'Racing Club of the Year' award with prizemoney of $10,000.

Two-time winner of the award (1999 and 2001), Kyneton is celebrating being nominated for the 4th year in a row.

Victorian Country Racing Club with the Most Improved Service, Presentation and Management Practice

Bendigo, Seymour and Swan Hill are finalists to take out the 'Most Improved Service, Presentation and Management Practice' award with prizemoney of $2,000.

Added weight will be provided to improvements made throughout the 2001/2002 year with focus on the level of service and facilities provided, the image and presentation of the racetrack and the standard of its marketing, business and operations.

Victorian Country Racing Club with the Most Innovative Marketing Strategy

Avoca, Echuca and Moe are finalists to take out the 'Most Innovative Marketing Strategy' award with prizemoney of $2,000.

Each of these clubs nominated under the Event Marketing category, which focuses on the planning, promotion, development and outcome of marketing a race day as an event day.
