Race 1 - Join Wimmera Racing Maiden Plate (1) - 1000 metres:
Prior to correct weight being declared B Rawiller, rider of Abrasions third place getter wished to view the Stewards side on and patrol video in the straight. After viewing the video, B Rawiller did not proceed with this request and correct weight was declared. On jumping away Bold Show was hampered when tightened for room between Frank's Title and Spirit of Never, due to both horses shifting ground. In the early part of the straight Jyldyz had to be eased to avoid the heels of Spirit of Never which when racing greenly and hanging in then shifted in abruptly. Spirit of Never then continued to hang in for the remainder of the race. Shortly after this Frank's Title had to be eased across the heels of Storm Check to obtain a clear run.
Race 2 - Join Wimmera Racing Maiden Plate (2) - 1000 metres:
When the gates opened Saradash was slow to begin. Shortly after this Railroader got its head up for some distance and lost ground. Shortly after the start Gold Rhythm and Swift Mootka were hampered between Anythink and Saint Chris which shifted out. Near the 600 metres Line of Vision which had a tendency to hang out then had to be checked to avoid the heels of Anythink. Shortly after this Line of Vision continued to hang out and took Aunty Win out off its course. Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight Railroader was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.
Race 3 - Buloke Times Super Vobis 3YO Maiden Plate (1) - 1000 metres:
When the gates opened Guntram was hampered when tightened for room between Alatac and Haylaur, which shifted out. Also at the start Top Squire had to be eased to avoid the heels of Norton Creek, which when hanging in shifted in. Shortly after this Cheeky Charmer shifted out and had to be checked to avoid the heels of Norton Creek, which continued to hang in. Near the 500 metres Clearly Famous had to be eased to avoid the heels of Guntram which shifted out slightly. Near the 100 metres L Milham rider of Alatac was accidentally struck on the arm by the whip of H McKechnie rider of Haylaur. In the early part of the straight Lost Valley had a tendency to hang in.
Race 4 -Buloke Times Super Vobis 3YO Maiden Plate (2) - 1000 metres:
On jumping away Smarty Class was hampered when tightened for room between Raamata and Lunch at Rios, which shifted in after being brushed by Swift Amy which also shifted in. In the early stages of the race Raamata hung out.
Race 5 - Wimmera Party Hire Class 3 Handicap - 1620 metres:
When the gates opened Pagano was slow to begin. Near the 500 metres Gitalon had to be checked off the heels of Mythical Bid. Rounding the home turn Charmly, which had a tendency to hang out, had to be eased to avoid the heels of Formic Aura.
Race 6 - Arthur Griffiths Memorial Maiden Plate - 1620 metres:
In the middle stages of the race Borrachoso hung out. Near the 500 metres Mahajini shifted out across the heels of Borrachoso and hampered Rubiline out onto Bold Rancho. In the early part of the straight Isanova shifted out and bumped Kingston Beauty. Mr B Clark, trainer of Athapascan Brave which was not competitive today was notified that an official warning was placed against the gelding and should it perform in a similar manner in the future action may be taken. Subsequent to the race the clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported no abnormalities with Athapascan Brave.
Race 7 - Tooheys New Handicap - 1200 metres:
Near the 900 metres Sex Appeal had to be checked off the heels of Bricklin's Brother which shifted in slightly. Near the 700 metres Stoic Jester brushed the running rail.
Race 8 - Jack H Penfold F & M Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres:
On jumping away Alberta Rose had to be checked when tightened for room between Iota of Luck and Golden Kololo which shifted out. Shortly after this Golden Kololo, Iota of Luck, Caso Maggio and Woodjah were hampered when tightened for room between Are You Serious, which shifted in and Crème De Mond, which shifted out. H McKechnie, rider of Jade Star, which performed poorly, explained to the Stewards that the mare travelled well during the early stages of the race but when put under pressure near the 700 metres failed to respond to her riding. Subsequent to the race the clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported no abnormalities with Jade Star.
Race 9 - Horsham Hire Class 4 Handicap - 2000 metres:
Approaching the winning post the first time Yuvaraj had to be checked when tightened for room between Headache and Spec of Silver, which when over racing shifted out to avoid the heels of Albacutya Road. Near the 1300 metres Spec of Silver when over racing shifted out to avoid the heels of Albacutya Road.
Race 10 - St. Kilda Rd Parkview Hotel Class 1 Handicap - 1350 metres:
G.Murphy, rider of Runelle, which performed poorly, explained to the stewards that the mare jumped away awkwardly resulting in Runelle getting further back than he anticipated. G.Murphy further stated that Runelle was held up slightly rounding the home turn and when put under pressure failed to respond to his riding. Subsequent to the race a veterinary examination of Runelle revealed no abnormalities. Also subsequent to the race the clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported Tatty was sore in the off fore leg. Mr T Torpy trainer of Tatty was notified that prior to Tatty racing again he must be in receipt of a veterinary certificate of fitness. Rounding the home turn Crazy Angel was inconvenienced when racing tight on the inside of Little Riachu.
