Race 1 - PRESTIGE JAYCO MAIDEN PLATE (1) - 1335 metres:

Dubbilo's Heaven (NZ) was slow to begin.

Rounding the home turn, and in the early part of the straight, Jungle Trail was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.

Near the 100 metres, Aetolus shifted in abruptly when struck with the whip.

Approaching the winning post, Phantom Run, when making ground, shifted out and hampered Our Rubiton.

Race 2 - PRESTIGE JAYCO MAIDEN PLATE (2) - 1335 metres:

Near the 800 metres, Wattage shifted in and tightened Thargellion.

Approaching the 100 metres, Paberosa was disappointed for a run between Mayman and Mentmore Lass, which shifted in slightly.

Race 3 - BAY FM MAIDEN PLATE - 1135 metres:

After being placed in the barriers, Sieben reared and became temporarily cast. Acting on veterinary advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Sieben at 1.07 pm. The Stewards ordered all monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on Sieben to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal of Sieben are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: Win Bets: 3; Place Bets: 4; Winning Concession Bets: 3; Doubles Bets: 3. All monies bet after the Stewards' declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket.

Acting on a report from the Starter regarding the unruly behaviour of Sieben at the barrier, the Stewards notified Ms W Mueller, trainer of the gelding, that an official warning would be placed on the gelding, and that she must produce a barrier test certificate in respect of Sieben prior to it racing again.

Due to this, the start of the race was delayed.

Beau Gallant was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, Stormy Sac shifted in and tightened Imposing Mayhem in on to Puss in Cahoots (NZ). Shortly after this, Stormy Sac was tightened for room between Imposing Mayhem and Delaine, which shifted in slightly.

Approaching the 800 metres, Imposing Mayhem, which was over-racing, shifted out and had to be checked off the heels of Delaine. As a result, Uplands Boyo, which was following, was hampered in consequence.

On the home turn, Bomzaway was inconvenienced when tightened for room on two occasions between Beau Gallant and Imposing Mayhem, which shifted out.

Throughout the race, Beau Gallant had a tendency to lay in.

Race 4 - CRIMSON & CLOVER FILLIES & MARES MDN PLT - 1750 metres:

On arrival at the course, Blushing Plume was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon, who reported that the filly had injured its near-hind leg and was unfit to run. Acting on this, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Blushing Plume at 1.00 pm.

J Patton, rider of Pharline, was severely reprimanded for having failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race.

Race 5 - BROWN SUGAR CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 2455 metres:

Race 6 - CAVALIER ART SUPPLIES LADIES' DAY FASHION PLATE - 1535 metres:

Nil Report.

Race 7 - LOBSTER CAVE 3YO CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1235 metres:

W Nolan, rider of Clocktower, which had performed poorly, stated to the Stewards that the gelding did not travel well at any stage and had a tendency to lay in throughout the race. W Nolan added that in his opinion Clocktower did not handle the track conditions today. A veterinary examination subsequent to the race revealed no abnormality.

Race 8 - BAY CITY PLAZA CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1235 metres:

Jotrace knuckled on jumping away.

Near the 700 metres, Phenomenon was tightened for room by Bright Spark, which was taken in by Serai (M Flaherty) which shifted in slightly. Shortly after this incident, Phenomenon had to be checked when tightened for room by Bright Spark, which shifted in away from Serai. M Flaherty will be notified to ensure that he leaves sufficient room for other runners in future.

Race 9 - TOWNHOUSE DESIGN FILLIES AND MARES CLASS 2 HCP - 1750 metres:
