"Kevie's Luck", second placegetter, viewed the Stewards' videos and decided not to lodge an objection.

On pulling up P. Daniel, rider of "Dove Edwin", who had sustained a laceration to his face when struck when "Condition Red" fell, was dislodged, and was unable to weigh in. As the Stewards were satisfied that "Dove Edwin" had carried its allotted weight, they declared correct weight.

When "Condition Red" fell at the obstacle near the 600 metres "Sir View (NZ)" was hampered, and "Dove Edwin" and "Loose Truth" were severely hampered.

Over the concluding stages of the race "Sir View (NZ)" shifted in and took "Kevie's Luck" in off its course.

As a result of this "My Girl Emma", which continued to over-race, had to be checked off the heels of "Restabella".

After passing the 500 metres "Restabella" was inconvenienced due to "Miss Troubles" shifting out after being bumped by "Claret Damsel", which shifted out away from "Serene Waters", which shifted out slightly at this stage.

Shortly after this incident "Claret Damsel" was tightened on to "Wild Cat" by "Miss Troubles" (A. Findlay), which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that A. Findlay was not solely responsible for the incident, they notified him that he should have made more effort to protect his fellow rider.

Rounding the turn near the 600 metres "Restabella" was inconvenienced due to "Ebonize" (Katrina Cosson) shifting in when not sufficiently clear. Katrina Cosson was notified that she must exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
