Race 1 - LATROBE CITY SPRING RACING CARNIVAL MAIDEN HURDLE - 2850 metres:

During the running of the race, "Power To Burn" suffered a bleeding attack.

A. Garraway, rider of "Quick Mick", explained to the Stewards that he eased his mount out of the race near the 400 metres as he believed there may have been something amiss with the gelding. Subsequent to the race, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that "Quick Mick" was showing no abnormalities.

Race 2 - POWER OF RACING MAIDEN PLATE - 1600 metres:

After passing the 200 metres "Tycoons Choice" which shifted out slightly, had to be eased to avoid the heels of "Rediness" which shifted in slightly.

Race 3 - MOE CUP DAY 17/10 MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres:

When the gates opened, "Hallowed Blessing" and "Kalykulya" came together due to both horses shifting ground and "Timmy's Charge" jumped away awkwardly.

After passing the 500 metres and rounding the home turn, "Timmy's Charge" had a tendency to lay out.

Race 4 - LADIES DAY 26/10 MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres:

When the gates opened, "Pentalia" jumped away awkwardly and "Daam Lies" was slow to begin.

Approaching the 1000 metres, "Cosmic Coincidence" had to be eased when tightened for room between "Rube" and "Make A Bid" (N. Callow) which shifted in when having a tendency to lay in. N. Callow was reprimanded and notified to exercise far more care when shifting ground in future.

Approaching the 600 metres, "Daam Lies", which had a tendency to hang out, had to be checked when racing on the inside of "Cosmic Coincidence".

After passing the 100 metres, "Cosmic Coincidence" was disappointed for a run on the inside of "Boy Canny Go" which was taken in slightly by "Make A Bid". Shortly after this, "Cosmic Coincidence" then shifted out abruptly to obtain a clear run.

Race 5 - MOERACINGCLUB.COM.AU F & M CLASS 4 HCP - 1200 metres:

"See The Sense" became unbalanced when making the turn near the 400 metres.

Approaching the winning post, "Adri Marie" and "Urgent Action" came together due to both horses shifting ground slightly.

Race 6 - kINGSTON TROPHIES WATERLOO CUP - 2050 metres:

No report.

Race 7 - $45 crownie heaven marquee 26/10 class 2 handicap - 1200 metres:

Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight, "Mr. Boyd" had difficulty obtaining a clear run. Shortly after straightening, "Mr. Boyd" had to change course to obtain a clear run. Also, "Redolly" was held up rounding the home turn and for the majority of the straight when unable to obtain a clear run.

Approaching the 100 metres, "Redolly" shifted out and brushed "Stonekatz" which shifted in slightly resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

Race 8 - CARLTON DRAUGHT CLASS 3 HCP - 1600 metres:

Due to the poor condition of the hind racing plates on "Marphil", Stewards ordered that both hind plates be removed and that "Marphil" race bare footed behind. P. Mertens, rider of the gelding, agreed to ride "Marphil" bare footed behind. Stewards today took evidence from Mr. B. Warren, who was representing Mr. D. Brideoake, trainer of "Marphil". As Mr. Brideoake was not on course, Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reason why "Marphil" was produced in the mounting yard with plates in such poor condition.

After passing the 50 metres, "Banff" was hampered when tightened for room by "Marphil" which shifted in.

Race 9 - FEMALE RIDERS CHALLENGE 26/10 CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1600 metres: On arrival at the barrier, "Tarcoola mist" was inspected by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and declared unfit to run. On this advice, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of "Tarcoola Mist" at 5.18 p.m. Subsequent to the race, Stewards ordered the following betting deductions:
All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting to be refunded and that all successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket:
WIN BETS: 27 cents
PLACE BETS: 19 cents
WINNING CONCESSION BETS: 25 cents
DOUBLES BETS: 27 cents
All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket.

Approaching the 1200 metres, "Rocketeer", which had a tendency to lay out, had to be checked off the heels of "Tarwin Treasure". Shortly after this, "Paris Commander" had to be eased off the heels of other runners.

Approaching the 1000 metres, "Rocketeer", which was over-racing, shifted out and hampered "Ciacerone (NZ)".

Race 6 - Stewards accepted the explanation offered by Mr. E. Musgrove, trainer of "Recall (NZ)" regarding his late notification of a rider.
