Defier Invited to Dubai

Carlton Draught Cox Plate hope Defier has been officially invited to run in the $4 million Dubai Duty Free (Group 1, 1777m.) at Dubai's Nad Al Sheeba racecourse on March 29 next year.

Australia's Dubai World Cup agent Keith Hillier said trainer Guy Walter and the owners of Defier were honored by the invitation.

Walter said he would continue the light racing program for Defier. He would contest the Cox Plate after Saturday's Epsom Handicap and then be spelled.

The Dubai invitation would be strongly considered.
