Race 2 - GALWAY HANDICAP - 1300 metres:

The Stewards fined D. Oliver, rider of "Just like Kelly", fifth placegetter, the sum of $300 for having failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race. The Stewards were not satisfied that his actions did affect the result of the race.

"Super Irish" hung out rounding the home turn.

Race 4 - LISTOWEL SUPER VOBIS HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Near the 1000 metres "Antique", which was over-racing, had to be checked off the heels of "Nul Autre", which shifted in.

Race 5 - DOWN ROYAL HANDICAP - 1500 metres:

Michelle Payne, rider of "Jadeline", was severely reprimanded for permitting her mount, which was laying out, to shift out under pressure near the 300 metres when not sufficiently clear of "Our Brave Lady", thereby tightening that mare on to "Sophie Princess" and "Pride of Oamaru", resulting in "Sophie Princess" having to be checked, and "Pride of Oamaru" and "Our Brave Lady" being hampered.

Approaching the winning post "Lauriston Lass" was hampered when tightened on to "Fradari" by "Anneden Gold", which shifted out under pressure away by "Scintillate".

Race 6 - SPORT 927 HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

"Sergio (NZ)" hung out under pressure in the straight.

Matt Pumpa, rider of "Ton of Hope" which performed below expectations, stated that the gelding did not handle the track conditions today, and continually changed stride throughout the race. M. Pumpa added that "Ton of Hope" felt normal on pulling up.

Race 7 - PUNCHESTOWN HANDICAP - 2288 metres:

Mr. N. Thompson , trainer of "Leys", was severely reprimanded for presenting his horse to race with plates which in the opinion of the Farriers' Supervisor did not conform with the Rules.

Race 8 - LEOPARDSTOWN HANDICAP - 1300 metres:

"Tyra" was slow to begin.

"Darting Princess" jumped away awkwardly.

SWAB SAMPLES were taken from the winners of all races today.
