Wooden Masque Dents Reputations

The Woodborough filly, Wooden Masque, dented plenty of big reputations with her all-the-way win in the Lindauer Rose Juvenile (880m) at Ellerslie on Saturday.

Visiting Taranaki two-year-old Tommy Doolin was all the rage for the $20,000 event after a 10-length trial win.

Discreet and Alberton Rose were also strongly fancied.

But it was the Diane Knowles-trained Wooden Masque who came out on top after clocking a time of 50.75 for the journey and scoring at odds of 14 to one for in-form apprentice Cameron Lammas.

Wooden Masque is the second winner from her dam, Magic Move. The other is two-time winner, Magic Masque (by Hunza Court).

Both Wooden Masque and Magic Masque were bred by Hamilton farmer Stuart Seath
