Wangaratta Turf Club should be proud of conducting a great meeting on Sunday sponsored by the Rural City Of Wangaratta (www.wangaratta.vic.gov.au). An easy drive 240km from Melbourne up the Hume Highway brought many for a day out. With the sun beaming down on families enjoying the day and punters doing their thing everyone was treated to good competitive racing. Most horse’s coats have turned nicely which made their fitness easier to assess.

Peter MacAllister as secretary has guided the committee over the years to make fantastic changes to their facilities, which are equal to the best anywhere in country Victoria. While the children were treated to face and ceramic painting the adults were free to relax, eat, drink and try and win some grocery money. Lets have a brief look at how the day panned out.
