Horses To Follow - Betfair Park 7 July 2010

On another heavy track at Betfair Park these are the runners that caught our eye:

Storm Burst in the Green Cap

Race 3 Ken Hilton Handicap (1400m)

The Peter Moody trained Storm Burst showed a number of impressive traits which will hold the filly in good stead come next autumn.

Storm Burst travelled sweetly through the heavy going with a big weight, pushed her way out of a pocket, kicked clear and then fought off a strong challenge from a lightweight challenger who caught her off guard.

Expect bigger things from this filly.

Race 4 Belle Silhouette Handicap (1400m)

The Luke Oliver trained Diazling was returning from a brief freshen up after a disappointing start to her preparation, and did so stylishly.

Made serious ground late on a heavy track and although helped by the three kilo claim for Lovelock-Wiggins, a win doesn't look far away for the lightly raced three-year-old.
