Race 1 - Join the Gold Club Super Vobis 3yo Maiden - 1600 metres

Prior to correct weight S. Quigley trainer of Etoile West second (place getter) and V. Duric rider of the filly wished to view the head on video in the straight. After viewing the video they did not prosed with any objection, and correct weight was declared. After passing the 100m Ali Sting shifted in and inconvenienced Etoile West.

Race 2 - Tooheys New F & M Maiden Plate - 1200 metres

After being placed in her stall Clearly The Best broke through it's barrier and cantered for a short distance before being reined in by her rider. A subsequent veterinary examination passed the mare fit to run. Approaching the 1000m Dancer's Belle shifted in and away from Toy Comet which resulted in Buonna Notte being taken in onto Out Looking which had to be eased. In the middle stages of the race Clearly the Best and French Terror both raced greenly. After passing the 100m Zephira which was laying in was accidentally struck across the head by the whip of B. Payne rider of Foxy Trouble.

Race 3 - "Buster" Livingstone Maiden Plate - 1600 metres

The start of the race was delayed due to Carita being reluctant to go to the barriers. W. Turner trainer of the mare was notified that an official warning would be placed against Carita and should the mare behave in a similar manner in future some action may be taken. What a Natural when being placed in it's stall became jammed between the back starting gates, which closed prematurely. What a Natural was removed from the barriers and examined by the clubs veterinary surgeon and was passed fit to run. What a Natural was slow to begin and in the straight What a natural shifted in under pressure.

Race 4 - N.E.D.R.A. Brian Cox Class 4 Handicap - 1200 metres

On jumping away Dust Buster was tightened for room between Spurwings and Namrod when both of those horses shifted ground. Approaching the 800m Saar's Boy which was weakening had to be checked when tightened for room by Merry Star (V. Duric) which shifted in. Dust Buster which was following then had to shift out to avoid the heels of Saar's Boy. After taking into account all of the circumstances (V. Duric) was notified that he must ensure he leaves sufficient room for horses on his inside when in similar circumstances. B. Fenech rider of Worrier which had performed below expectations stated to the stewards that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages of the race failed to respond to his riding after passing the 400m. A veterinary examination of Worrier revealed no abnormality L. Robertson rider of Tai Chi which had performed below expectations, stated to the stewards that the mare failed to stretch out in the early an middles stages of the race and failed to respond to his riding in the straight. L. Robertson further stated that in his opinion Tai Chi was not suited to today's track conditions. A veterinary examination of Tai Chi revealed that the mare was suffering a head wound.

Race 5 - N.E.D.R.A. A Regal Dane Open Handicap - 1400 metres

In the early and middle stages of the race Mighty Amber over raced.

Race 6 - N.E.D.R.A A Brian Johns Class 2 Handicap - 1400 metres

Race 7 - N.E.D.R.A. Vincent Hall (A) F & M Class 2 Handicap - 1100 metres

After passing the 100m Limerick Belle shifted in and away from Seddenga resulting in Get Down being hampered. Prior to the race B. Fenech approached the stewards requesting that he be released from the ride on Keynotes, as he had had a dispute with G. Duryea trainer of the mare. After taking evidence from both parties and as G. Duryea had no objections stewards permitted J. Anstice to be substituted as the rider.

Approaching the 900m Gantry, Alluring Eyes and Micamox were tightened for room between True Peace which shifted out slightly and Seddenga (V. Duric) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. During this incident Gantry got it's head up when being eased. During this incident Micamox which was being eased accidentally clipped the heels of True Peace. V. Duric was reprimanded and notified that he must ensure that he leaves sufficient room for his fellow riders when in similar circumstances in the future. B. Johns rider of Limerick Belle stated to the stewards that the mare proved difficult to ride in the straight due to Limerick Belle laying in. Approaching the 600m Alluring Eyes was reluctant to hold it position when racing tight between Micamox and Get Down.

Race 8 - Gold Cup Day Sunday Oct 6th Class 1 Handicap - 1600 metres

Ucem was slow to begin. Approaching the home turn Like Auntie was held up for a run.
